Prabal Gurung for Target

We all love Target. Canadians have been waiting patiently impatiently for the mega fashionable department store to grace us with its presence. More than 15 seriously influential and important fashion designers have collaborated with Target bellowing out super cool AND affordable limited edition items with their signature stamp and design aesthetic. Not only that, but for a quarter or more of the typical cost.

Previously impressive considerable collabs included Missoni, Rodarte and Proenza Schouler but now we can add designer Prabal Gurung – who’s brand was born four years ago. The ‘Valentines inspired’ 80 piece collection will stay true to his signature prints and graphic details.

It’s hopeful seeing the launch date is February 10, 2013 through March 23, 2013. I have already said my prayers to the fashion gods that Target stores in Canada are open by then. Targets official press release states we can expect impeccable tailoring and feminine silhouettes, striking prints, hot-hued palettes and sleek styles that will add dimension to any woman’s wardrobe. Pieces are set to include refined dresses, mixed-media skirts, edgy blazers and striking shoes. Now you’re wondering… how much?

The only sneak peek look released:

This is why Target collabs are incredible – the collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $199.99 for apparel and $12.99 to $39.99 for jewelry, handbags and shoes. I am so excited – are you?

Wow! I didn’t realize that Target had not yet set up shop in Canada. That surprises me, since they are based in Minneapolis. You will love it!!

    • I know, isn’t it sad?! I do love it there! Never miss a trip to Target when I am in the states. Can’t wait for Spring 2013! xx

  2. There are a lot of “collaborations” now. Don´t know if they are for marketing reasons or because of the economy. I´m gonna write a post on that =)

  3. You’ll love Target. It’s one of those places where you ALWAYS spend more than you planned, haha. I loved their collaboration with Liberty of London 🙂
