5 Things I’m Thankful For

Its Thanksgiving – I am stuffed. I may have even used the term large and in charge earlier. It’s holidays like this that the button comes loose and I am thankful for sweat pants. Most importantly, I am thankful for my child, my husband and my family. But lest we forget the important little things in life that complete our personal style story.

Admittedly, I often plan my outfits simply around an accessory. Accessories have taken on a new existence over the last decade – no sizes or ages required. A lot of luxury brands make a large percentage of their profits through their accessory lines. Wether its a stand out shoe, great handbag or a stunning neckpiece… it’s hard to discriminate, creating much broader customer appeal.

Since its a day of thanks, let’s give a shout out to the fashion gods for my beloved five.

1. Tom Binns jewelry

If you aren’t aware of Tom Binns then I am happy to assist. Tom Binns is an eclectic jewelry brand that was founded 8 years ago. Defined as elegance with an anti-conformist sentiment, clearly every piece is undoubtedly edgy. It speaks to me… well from afar. Have you seen these prices?

2. Alexander McQueen skull scarves

You probably know by now my love for McQueen. Scarves are such an easy accessory to throw on and add a pop of colour, a touch of cool and personality into any outfit, plus you can’t forget they are great for keeping warm. These skull silk scarves may not keep you toasty but they definitely look cool.

3. Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s

These could be one particular platform bootie of the season that are reasonable on the bank budget, cool and functional. Thankfully, mine are on order and I can’t wait to slip my feeties into these bad boys for winter. Side note: if purchasing online, they fit super tight and I bought mine a half size bigger than usual.

4. Feel Fab Sunnies

Ultimately, sunglasses are by far my most favoured accessory. I’m pretty guilty bad for wearing my sunglasses indoors, after the sun sets and all the time in between. The shape of lenses re-invents itself over the seasons, but never fear – “bigger is better“, right? I appreciate the hand-crafted statement eyewear. THANKFULLY, I found A-Morir.

5. luxury iPad cases

Who isn’t addicted to their iPhone, iPad or iPod. I for one, am addicted to all three. My iPad might be slightly connected to my hip and there isn’t any reason it shouldn’t be dressed its best too. On the runways for SS13, Burberry, Fendi and Oscar de la Renta – to name a few – all accessorized with hi-tech notables. I like that these brands are not using typical, boring logo prints.
