Paris Fashion Week – Balenciaga

It doesn’t get better than this – Paris Fashion Week people. Balenciaga, Mugler, Dries van Noten; three seriously powerful brands with three seriously different shows.

First up, Balenciaga.

Apparently, Nicolas Ghesquière had alot on his mind or simply alot to say, not leaving any ideas behind when he created the looks for SS13. Balenciaga appeared confidently grown up and the exquisite lean tailoring proved it. This show clearly had more than one focus… maybe even a little ADD. There were tweed skirts and cropped tops, bias skirts and assymetrical shapes, square cut tops made of lace and ruffles coming out the ying-yang folks. Some might describe the show as mythical inspired by the barb wire details or perhaps even a ‘nature feel’ from the earthy tones and elements. See what I mean?

It’s time for this mama to rest. 11pm, now I will catch up on Real Housewives of New Jersey. Goodnight friends. Tomorrow is Friday.
